Hello! I am Faith, a 26 year-old sort of filmmaker, beginner-intermediate photographer and way-too-good-at-procrastinating writer. I use this site to write down my thoughts about life, my faith, and to post pictures of places I go to and people I meet. I’d really like to make this site more about traveling, but unfortunately, I am somewhat poor and cannot travel too much. Thus the life of a 20-something. I am also not cool at all, so if you’re looking for a cool person’s blog where everything is perfect and you can live vicariously through them, you’ve come to the wrong place. But, I believe in authenticity so that’s what you’ll find here.
Don’t forget to subscribe or follow me or whatever people do nowadays if you want to receive new things I post.
Why is this blog called Twenty-First Century Faith?
As a Christian woman, I often feel like people try to put me in a box. They want me to be calm, or loud, or conservative, or adventurous, or whatever. Truth is, I don’t think you can figure out someone just by labeling them a Christian. All it tells you is if they love Jesus. So when it came time for me to figure out what I wanted this blog to be, I had trouble because I wanted it to be so many things! I have a wide variety of interests. And I think that describes Christianity in the 21st century perfectly. Christians are lots of things. We are conservative, liberal, educated, uneducated, crazy and calm. We have tattoos. We hate tattoos. We drink. We don’t drink. We cannot be put in a box. So hence the name “Twenty-First Century Faith.” Because this is what faith looks like in the 21st century. It’s messy and confusing, but somehow always finds its way back to Jesus.
